Our Prophetic Visionary Leader
Dr. Rodney E. Barlow is God’s visionary for Building Lives Family Church (B.L.F.C.), located in Brown Summit, NC. Dr. Barlow’s uncompromising and bold teaching of God’s Word has changed the lives of people at B.L.F.C. and surrounding cities.
Educationally, he has earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Also, he has earned a Doctorate of Theology degree from Jacksonville Theological Seminary.
He is married to Va-Lencia Barlow since 1992. Rodney Barlow is a dedicated family man. He is the father of one daughter, Victoria Barlow.
Our First Lady
Va-Lencia Barlow, graduated with honors from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. She worked in the Wilson County Public Schools System, as the Director of Evangel Fellowship Daycare Academy, founded the Little Children’s Learning Lab and is currently the principal of Building Lives Christian Academy.
Va-Lencia assists her husband in many different areas of ministry: Administration, Children’s Ministry, Intercessory Prayer ministry, and the ministry of the Word of God. Her greatest accomplishments are being a born again believer, a wife to pastor Barlow and mother to their daughter Victoria.

in the table of the Lord, commonly called the Holy Communion. The Lord's Supper or the Eucharist for believers. - (I Cor. 11:28-31; Matt. 26:26-28).
that there is one true universal church made up of genuine believers, but this one universal church is also composed of many local churches in given localities. These churches are under the sovereign headship of Christ, administering all its local affairs and ministry, as well as the propagation of the Gospel. - (Acts 15:22; Matt. 16:18; 18:15-20)
in the divinely appointed and affirmed ministry gifts and offices for the equipped of the saints and the maturation of the church. I.e., Bishop, Pastor, and the Diaconate, etc. - ( I Peter 5:1-4, I Tim. 3:1-13; Ephes. 4:11-12; Acts 6:3-6; Romans 16:1-2)
